Rev. Christopher Roe
Acting Senior Minister
Rev. Christopher came to Fountain Street Church having worked in a variety of religious and educational settings, most recently in Evanston, Illinois, overseeing a vibrant inter-religious youth program. He has a bachelor's degree in education from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Divinity degree from Garrett Seminary in Chicago. He is now working on a Master of Education degree at GVSU, advancing his studies in critical pedagogy, social justice, and religious education. As a classically trained pianist and organist as well as an avid fitness enthusiast, Christopher enjoys spending his free time "on the bench". He also enjoys hanging out with friends, family, and neighbors; nerding out on urban planning and development in Grand Rapids; and traveling abroad once a year with his husband, Jonathan.
Rev. Matthew Cockrum
Minister of Spiritual Care & Practice
Rev. Matthew is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister in full fellowship. Raised loosely within Protestant Christianity, Matthew also draws upon his experiences within Catholicism, his Jewish lineage and its mystical practices, and his experience and training in somatic embodied traditions including Ashtanga yoga and Kundalini mediumship. Trained as a spiritual director and healthcare chaplain, Matthew's passions in ministry center upon meeting people in deep places and companioning them through music, movement and meaning-making. When not at work you can find him cooking, strumming his guitar, knitting, and meditating each morning with his husband, Chad (a Grand Rapids native).
Rev. Greta Jo Seidohl
Minister of Belonging & Community Engagement
Rev. Greta Jo is a Unitarian Universalist minister with a passion for multigenerational community building. With a background in anthropology and nerd culture, she makes home with her husband, an opinionated toddler daughter, and two four-leggers. She graduated from Meadville Lombard Theological School and was welcomed into preliminary fellowship with the Unitarian Universalist Association. She completed her ministerial internship at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Huntington, New York, in 2019, and then served as their Sabbatical Preacher for the first six months of 2020. Born and raised a Yooper, she looks forward to getting to know the lower peninsula of Michigan, Grand Rapids, and Fountain Street Church community.
General Manager of Operations
Melissa joined FSC in July 2006 with 10 years of accounting, human resources, and office management experience in the construction industry. She has degrees in human resources management, paralegal studies, accounting, and interior design, with additional certifications in human resources management. Melissa and her daughter, Thea, live in Wyoming, where you can find them playing with their dogs, reading books, or walking in the neighborhood.
General Manager of Productions
Conor came to FSC as an audio technician in 2012 and assumed leadership of the A/V team in 2013. He made his commitment full-time in 2017 and now keeps an office on the second floor, where he maintains the church schedule and coordinates church-sponsored and rental events. Conor has a bachelor's degree in professional writing from Grand Valley State University. He and his wife live in Grand Rapids with their beloved pets and musical instruments.
Danny graduated in 2018 from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in film and video production, and has since found a million new and interesting ways to retrofit that degree to fit the specific and ever-changing needs of Fountain Street Church. Danny is a proud cat dad and wannabe queer activist with a penchant for podcasting, photography, and backyard filmmaking.
