Welcome to the Green District Web information.
The Green District Beyond Sunday area extends from the West side of Grand Rapids through Comstock Park, the Rockford area and beyond to the North. Cannonsburg Rd. is one of our Southern borders.
There are 399 Fountainstreeters within our area.
Our leaders are : Louisa Nally - activities Linda Dodge, Fran Burkholder, Johanna Kriegbaum - care team
Our district gets together in small groups to socialize and also to support church and community projects.
Here are some of the things we did this past year:
- Filled 10 baskets to give to Dwelling Place residents in both Feb and July
- Hosted a church coffee in December
- Had 3 social potlucks
- Helped an elderly member pack up for a move
- Had 3 breakfasts at restaurants
- Walked the White Pine Trail on Jan 1
- Helped church members with rides and dinners
- Pitched in on church work days to help with the church garden

Here are the things that the Green District has worked on since September:
Helped clean up the church garden on our Church Work Day
Had lunch at Cheers - a social gathering Supported the Montessori Wish Tree Project to purchase equipment for the school
Walked as a group on Jan 1st on the White Pine Trail Walk in Rockford
Soup Potluck to collect for Dwelling Place Baskets - great turnout !
Co - Hosted Soup Lunch for the congregation with the Yellow District Group participation in “Adopt-A-Trail” for the White Pine Trail maintenance work day
Support Montessori School Work Day Helped the Yellow & Orange District with “Garage Sale Give Away” and pizza party for residents of Dwelling Place Apts.
