Welcome to the Blue District Webpage.
This summer we plan to invite anyone from any district to join the Blues on a Saturday in July or August, as we attend a play at The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company. We may even make it dinner/theatre. For news about time, playbill, and directions, stay tuned.
Blues Summertime Plans: Eat, Party, & Play
First Summer Blue Task!
Sunday, June 7, was the All-Church Picnic with Blues providing guidance for games. According to Fred, we need to add to our declaration of purpose, "free the mind, grow the soul, change the world, eat the food, play the games!"
First Summer Blue Blast!
Saturday, June 27, we have been invited to potluck, party, and play at Todd and Patti Johnson's home. Todd and family challenge all comers to a horseshoe contest. If you like to puddle around in the pond or jump from the raft, bring a swim suit and towel. Arrive at 1:00 and play or converse until dinner. Bring your own beverage and either a salad, appetizer, or dessert to pass. Patti and Todd will be grilling chicken.
Patti and Todd live at 5725 Ivanrest Ave., Grandville, MI. It's a white farmhouse set back from the road.
Final Summer Rainbow Event!
This summer we plan to invite anyone from any district to join the Blues on a Saturday in July or August, as we attend a play at The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company or the Hope Summer Repertory Theatre. The plays, "Julius Caesar" and "The Comedy of Errors" are at Pigeon Creek, and the play, "The Cmplt Wrks of Wm Shkspr, Abrdged by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield" is at Hope. We may make it dinner/theatre, but request your input as to venue and preferences. For news about our decisions on time, playbill, and directions, stay tuned.
