Americorps and the Red Cross are doing a service project at Indian Trails Camp.  They are building a track for campers to use their newly bought Amtrykes as they enjoy the out-of-doors.  We are invited to come on the last day of the project .  Leslie Kingsley, a member of Fountain Street for a little over a year, contacted us through the Beyond Sunday office.

Many of you will know were the park is, but not what Indian Trails Camp is all about.  Here’s a chance to spend a spring day in the woods, getting that woods ready for people who have varying physical disabilities to come there in the warm weather.

On the final day of the project,  Blue District members are invited to join in, along with members of other groups, to finish up and meet each other.  At the end,a celebratory lunch will be provided for all the volunteers

July Jumps at Cherry Point Farm Fish Boil

Saturday, July 12, 2008

Gather to carpool @ 4:00pm

Two years ago, we walked the lavender labyrinth, explored the splendid stone circle herb arbor, browsed the shop, learned about the fish boil tradition, and devoured a delicious fish boil meal as we watched the sunset.  It’s a family friendly event that is definitely worth doing again.

Reservations are required, so put the date on your calendar and watch for details.

The Beyond Sunday Blue District expands from its eastern border that includes Grandville to fan out to the North and South with a westernmost border at Lake Michigan.  Blue on Blue!

Look for the list of proposed activities for the year on the Blue District space on the Beyond Sunday board in front of the coatroom.  As the dates draw closer, the details of each event are published in emails, the Chimes, the Flash, and/or Weekly Notes.  We welcome your ideas and suggestions.

If you or your family have care needs, contact the church.  Our Blue District members may be able to help you.
