Religious Services Committee
The Religious Services Committee is comprised of members of the church, who work with Clergy, Staff, Character School, and the Music and Choir Directors to explore variety and the richness of our Worship experience.  They are especially involved in arranging for summer chapel Services, which are led by lay members.  For further information please contact Fred Wooden at either (616) 459-8386 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Where Does Worship Come From?
Not from the pulpit, but from the pew.  In particular, from the partnership of clergy and laity, both on Sunday and in between.  The Religious Services Committee needs your assistance.....
  • They would love some new faces and ideas to inspire them to new heights.  No expertise required, except an interest in making our Worship life thrive and grow. They meet monthly on the 1st Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. at FSC.  They also have a lot of fun doing it!
  • They are looking for members and friends who have something intriguing to say.  If you have a sermon in you that needs to get out, or just an idea you want to share with 125 of your closest friends, they want to hear from you during FSC's summer Chapel Services!
  • Finally, as we consider expanding our Sundays to offer more opportunities to take part in at FSC, one of the most exciting ideas is another time of Worship, perhaps late Sunday afternoon or early evening.  The RSC will be a key part of shaping this idea and helping it happen, if we do it.  This is your chance to get in on making the future!

Talk to any of the current members:  Sarah Hibbard-Swaney, Janet Peterson, Mary Lou Smith or send a note to Kim Jordan at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to show your interest.....they are eager to hear from you!
