Adult Spiritual Life & Learning at Fountain Street Church is offered with the intent to fulfill the mission of liberal religion through the benchmarks of a community of spiritual lifelong learners. This means that in order to free the mind, grow the soul, and change the world, we provide sessions to cultivate religious literacy, spiritual fluency and engagement, and moral competence.
We strive to provide diverse learning experiences that honor multiple intelligences and include presenters and experts from various fields and disciplines. Check out the most recent Seasons of the Soul brochure for a current listing of opportunties!

THE CURRICULUM
Adult Spiritual Life & Learning programs will now be offered under two areas of study: Life Learning and Spiritual Living. You will notice that each program is designated as one or the other.
Life Learning Programs will be informational or didactic in nature.....covering a variety of themes/topics. A Life Learning class may include experiental exercises, open discussion, or a Q&A at the end.
Spiritual Living classes will focus specifically on spiritual formation.....looking for the individual and collective moment of Spirit/God through disciplined practices, in-depth study, shared experience, service, immersion, and covenants.
All offerings are free unless stated otherwise.
Spiritual Direction
Rev. Matthew Cockrum and Mark Walstrom are offering individual Spiritual Direction to Fountain Streeters. Mark is currently in his 4th year of study in the Spiritual Formation Program at The Dominican Center and is offering spiritual direction sessions as part of his practicum. If you are interested in being companioned in your spiritual journey to discern the Spirit's movement in your life, please contact the FSC front office at (616) 459-8386 for a referral to either Matthew or Mark. Brochures are also available in the front office for further information.
