How Do Religious Liberals Observe Advent?
Just like everyone else, only more so. We love the season and its time honored messages. But we also try to overcome or at least balance the material emphasis with a spiritual attentiveness. If you would like to make the season more authentic and meaningful, download the document , "Living Advent" and see if that strikes a note. Of course, going to Church is one way to compensate for the hurly burly, but the guide gives you other ways to experience the season. There are also two additional documents you can use:
•- One on the basis for spiritual practice among religious liberals: Spirituality and Seasonality in Liberal Religion
•- The second about places and ways you can pitch in during the season: Doing Well by Doing Good
