We have faith in life more than death.
We know hope is larger than judgment.
Love is the only Heaven. Joy destroys every hell.

Christmas Eve Services

5:00 p.m.

This year our 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Worship Service will once again have a pageant based on the biblical accounts of the birth of Jesus.  A few contemporary twists, though:  1.)  We will have some contemporary songs (think Beatles and Amy Grant) and 2.)  The pageant is set in downtown Grand Rapids, circa 2009.  Don't worry, traditional carols will open and close the Service and we will still have candles and the junior choir.  Come one, come all, to a unique celebration for all ages!  Click here to read more about this contemporary Service.......

11:00 p.m.

All are welcome at this traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. Our beautiful Sanctuary will be filled with the sights and sounds of the season.  Rev. W. Frederick Wooden will speak on "For Each Child That's Born".

3rd Annual Epiphany Holiday Un-Decorate Party
January 3, 2010

Epiphany:  "A sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience".

The Epiphany holiday in the Western Christian world is a celebratory feast, (also called the Twelfth Day, as it falls on the twelfth day after Christmas), which primarily commemorates the coming of the Maji.

As you may recall, last year's Epiphany Un-Decorate Party provided an opportunity to experience our own Epiphanies as we shared a (simpler) feast with fellow congregants, then the "simple, commonplace experience" of putting away the holiday - taking down Christmas trees, stashing away yuletide decorations, and commemorating the new year of possibilities and promises which lies ahead.  We will again open the Christmas Box and explore what the past year has brought us.

Don't miss this chance for an Epiphany of your own in this annual "Grow Your Soul" opportunity of 2010!
